Da theoretisch jedes Paket einen Daemon beinhalten kann, wird diese Liste niemals vollständig sein. Wer noch Daemons kennt die hier nicht aufgeführt sind kann diese gerne, in alphabetischer Reihenfolge, ergänzen.

Für jeden Daemon wird der Names des Scripts (initscripts) und des Service (systemd) angegeben.

hwclock Not a daemon as such, but on shutdown, updates hwclock to compensate for drift. Only run this daemon if ntpd is not running as both daemons adjust the hardware clock
irqbalance irqbalance.service Ein Systemdienst, der helfen kann die durch Interrupts verursachte Systemlast besser auf die Prozessoren bzw. Prozessorkerne zu verteilen
